The Garrett Railroaders are taking a road trip to square off against the Heritage Patriots at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.
Garrett came out on top against Prairie Heights on Tuesday thanks in part to the team's impressive nine-run second inning. The Railroaders never let the Panthers get on the board and left with a 13-0 victory.

Aiden Sullinger tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only two hits while striking out seven over five innings pitched. Those seven strikeouts gave him a new career-high.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Ari Hippensteel, who fired off two home runs and six RBI while going 2-for-4. He also scored two runs, which is notable because Garrett is undefeated when he posts at least two runs, but 7-10 otherwise. Kayden Bush was another key player, going 2-for-3 with four stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI.
Garrett always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .515. They are a perfect 4-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Heritage). They blew past Fort Wayne Northrop 18-7 on Friday. The Patriots might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 12 matchups by six runs or more this season.
Corbin Saalfrank made a big impact no matter where he played. He struck out seven batters over four innings while giving up three earned runs off only two hits. Saalfrank was also solid in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with three runs and one triple.
In other batting news, Beau Stoppenhagen was a standout: he went 3-for-4 with three runs, four RBI, and one stolen base. Another player making a difference was Lucas Taylor, who went 2-for-4 with three stolen bases, two runs, and one double.
Garrett's record is now 12-10. As for Heritage, their record now sits at 14-3.
