Locust Grove had already won five in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 12.4 runs) and they went ahead and made it six on Friday. They blew past the Woodland Wolfpack 14-1. The result was nothing new for the Wildcats, who have now won 11 contests by eight runs or more so far this season.

Locust Grove's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 12-8. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.8 runs over those games. As for Woodland, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost eight of their last nine matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-16 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Locust Grove will host Eagle's Landing Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
