The Bishop Montgomery Knights will face off against the Valley Christian Defenders at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Bishop Montgomery 3.7, Valley Christian 3) so any runs scored will be well earned.
Bishop Montgomery is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They never let Animo Leadership get on the board and left with a 17-0 win on Saturday. The victory was familiar territory for the Knights, who have now won five matchups in a row.

Alex Martinez looked comfortable as he struck out seven batters over 3.1 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and only one walk). Those seven strikeouts gave him a new career-high.
At the plate, Logan Hudson was a standout: he went 2-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and two doubles. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Caden Eallonardo, who went 2-for-3 with four RBI, one triple, and one run.
Bishop Montgomery was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .391. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .321 or higher in seven consecutive games.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Valley Christian, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past Maranatha 2-0.
Not much got past Riley Jones, who gave up just six hits and racked up nine Ks to keep Maranatha off the board. Jones has been consistent for a while: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts any time he's pitched this season.
Valley Christian's victory was their ninth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-10. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.1 runs on average over those games. As for Bishop Montgomery, their victory bumped their record up to 17-10.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Tuesday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Bishop Montgomery has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 8.3 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Valley Christian struggles in that department as they've been averaging 7.4 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
