The Paradise Bobcats can finally bid farewell to their five-game losing streak dating back to last season thanks to their game on Monday. They skirted past Oroville 42-40. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest victory Paradise has managed all season.
Nyah Baker continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 23 points. The game was her fourth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Madi Vannucci, who scored nine points.
Several Tigers players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Serenity Miller, who scored ten points along with three steals. Miller has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last six times she's played. Rachel Bone was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on ten points and ten rebounds.
Even though they lost, Oroville were smashing the offensive glass and finished the game with 27 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
Paradise's win ended a three-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 1-4. As for Oroville, their loss dropped their record down to 1-8.
Paradise's road trip will continue as they head out to face Lindhurst at 7:00 p.m. on December 14th. Lindhurst comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 25 points in their last five games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse. As for Oroville, they will face off against Lower Lake at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday.
