Mountain Empire scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Thursday. They blew past Bonsall, posting a 43-14 win on the road. That 29 points margin sets a new team best for Mountain Empire this season.
Among those leading the charge was Carli McGhee, who scored 18 points. Bibi Caceres was another key contributor, scoring nine points.
San Diego Academy suffered their closest loss yet this season on Thursday. They fell just short of Gompers Prep Academy by a score of 32-30. San Diego Academy has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Mountain Empire's win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-11. As for San Diego Academy, they bumped their record down to 2-10 with that loss, which was their 13th straight at home.
