The Lower Lake Trojans will head out on the road to take on the Justin-Siena Braves at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Lower Lake will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps California Rankings (they are ranked 653rd, while Justin-Siena is ranked 134th).
Lower Lake unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Thursday. They suffered a tough 60-40 defeat at the hands of Cloverdale. Lower Lake has not had much luck with Cloverdale recently, as the team's come up short the last five times they've met.
Meanwhile, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Justin-Siena beat Sonoma Valley 38-33 on Saturday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Justin-Siena.
Justin-Siena's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jordan Washington led the charge by dropping a double-double on 17 points and 14 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Naveena Jackson, who scored eight points along with 13 rebounds and five blocks.
Lower Lake's defeat dropped their record down to 13-13. As for Justin-Siena, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 15 of their last 17 games, which provided a nice bump to their 23-5 record this season.
