Grace Christian has won three straight games at home, while Freedom Christian Academy has won three straight on the road dating back to last season, but those streaks won't matter much on Thursday. The Grace Christian Crusaders will welcome the Freedom Christian Academy Patriots. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Grace Christian's pitching crew heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They blew past American Leadership Academy-Johnston 13-0. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Crusaders considering their one-run performance the game before.
Victoria Thomas made a big impact no matter where she played. She pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than one walk in three consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

In other batting news, Grace Christian let Abby Carville and Aubrey Gunter run wild. Carville went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs, while Gunter went a perfect 3-for-3 with two triples, three RBI, and one double. Those four RBI gave Carville a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Adison Gardner, who scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in two of her three plate appearances.
Grace Christian always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .593. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as American Leadership Academy-Johnston only posted an OBP of .222.
Meanwhile, Freedom Christian Academy got the win against Northwood Temple Academy on Tuesday by a conclusive 15-0. The Patriots haven't had any issues with the Eagles recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive win against them.
Rylan Miller was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out nine batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit (and not a single walk). Miller was also big at the plate, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-2.
In other batting news, Victoria Bryant was incredible, going 1-for-2 with one home run and five RBI. That home run was her first of the season. London Chavis was another key player, scoring two runs while going 1-for-1.
Grace Christian's victory bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Freedom Christian Academy, their win bumped their record up to 9-0.
Thursday's matchup will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Grace Christian hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .393. However, it's not like Freedom Christian Academy struggles in that department as they've averaged .401. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
