For the second straight game, Foothill will face off against Del Oro. The Trojans will welcome the Suns at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Foothill has five straight wins, Del Oro has nine straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
On Tuesday, Foothill made easy work of Del Oro and carried off a 21-1 victory. The result was nothing new for the Trojans, who have now won five games by eight runs or more so far this season.

Ramon Diaz and Joaquin Carrillo made a big impact while hitting and pitching. Throwing, Diaz pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. Meanwhile, Carrillo struck out six batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Diaz also tossed a walk, which is notable because Foothill is undefeated when he allows at most one walk, but 5-6 otherwise. At the plate, Diaz got on base in four of his five plate appearances with two stolen bases, three runs, and three RBI, while Carrillo got on base in four of his five plate appearances with four runs, two stolen bases, and one RBI. Those four runs gave Carrillo a new career-high.
In other batting news, Conrado Machuca was incredible, going 3-for-5 with two stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI. Foothill is undefeated when Machuca posts two or more runs, but 3-6 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Gabriel Cordoba, who went 1-for-2 with two runs, two RBI, and one double.
Foothill kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. That's a new trend for them: they were averaging 3.7 hits per game earlier this season, but in their last 15 contests they've averaged 10.
Foothill's win bumped their record up to 9-6. As for Del Oro, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-19.
