Football Recap: Make It Three in a Row for Briarwood Academy

Briarwood Academy won the last time they faced St. Andrew and things went their way on Friday too. The Buccaneers put the hurt on the Lions with a sharp 48-22 win. The Buccaneers pushed the score to 41-14 by the end of the third, a deficit the Lions cut but never quite recovered from.

Cutler Fleming had a dynamite game, throwing for 206 yards and four touchdowns while completing 71.4% of his passes, and also rushing for 103 yards. Those 103 rushing yards gave him a new career-high.

The victory was the third in a row for Briarwood Academy, bringing their record up to 3-0. Those wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 14.7 points on average this season. As for St. Andrew's, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-3.
