Tulelake hasn't had much luck against Lost River recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Honkers will be playing at home against the Raiders at 2:00 p.m. The two teams are strolling into their matchups after big wins in their previous games.
Having struggled with seven losses in a row, Tulelake turned things around against Westwood on Monday. They blew past the Lumberjacks 14-1. The contest marked the Honkers' most dominant victory of the season.

The team relied heavily on Miles Scott, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with two stolen bases and five RBI. Those five RBI gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Kevin Larsen, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with three runs and two doubles.
Tulelake always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .758. They are 5-2 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.
Meanwhile, Lost River got themselves on the board against Days Creek on Tuesday, but Days Creek never followed suit. They were the clear victors by a 15-0 margin over the Wolves. Considering the Raiders have won eight games by more than nine runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.
Kyle Diaz made a splash no matter where he played. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out seven over 4.1 innings pitched. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Lost River is 8-1 when he allows at most two earned runs, but 2-3 otherwise. Diaz was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with four runs and three RBI.
In other batting news, Conner Guthrie was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with six RBI, two stolen bases, and two runs. Beau Sanders was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double.
Lost River has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-4 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.1 runs on average over those games. As for Tulelake, their victory bumped their record up to 5-11.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Thursday as neither team is afraid to steal. Tulelake has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.8 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Lost River struggles in that department as they've been averaging 4.2 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Tulelake suffered a grim 12-0 defeat to Lost River in their previous meeting back in April of 2024. Can the Honkers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
