St. Thomas Academy scored a stunning upset when it knocked off South St. Paul, 35-28. At the time, the Packers were ranked 11th in the state, while the Cadets were 35th.
The biggest upset of the week belonged to St. Thomas Academy, who took down 11th ranked South St. Paul, 35-28.
Dusty Krueger was a passing and rushing force as Hill-Murray topped Richfield.
Nick Engels and Krueger gave the Pioneers a balanced attack in passing and rushing last week. Engels threw for 119 yards and 2 touchdowns, while Krueger ran for 151 yards. Marshawn Wilson also contributed to the rushing game with 117 yards on the ground.
Dave Ziebarth's team was able to crack the Top 25 in the state rankings this week after defeating Chad Sexauer's team. The Cadets came in at 23 in the state poll after placing at number 35 last week.
