Blake Ohren and Reed Hanson provided fans with a highlight when they connected against Hancock. The longest such play in Pheasant - South (9 Man) this season, the connection resulted in 57 yards.
Clinton-Graceville-Beardsley extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Wheaton/Herman-Norcross, 30-12. The win marks fourth in a row for the the Wolverines.
Ashby's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Ohren threw for 291 and six touchdowns and Hanson had 229 yards receiving. On the ground Ohren chipped in 207 yards. Tanner Langlie helped Ashby's passing attack out by catching three balls for 32 yards.
Jeff Berglund made the biggest impact on defense this week as the Arrows beat the Owls. The 6-foot-4 junior recorded one fumble and grabbed two sacks.
Ashby's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Arrows feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Ohren has thrown for 811 yards and 11 touchdowns this season, while Hanson has 32 catches for 456 yards. Ohren also leads the league in rushing with 585 yards.
A big matchup in Pheasant - South (9 Man) this week will be when Brandon/Evansville takes on Clinton-Graceville-Beardsley. At the moment, the Chargers are in third, while the Wolverines are in first.
Brandon/Evansville was the team that gained the most ground in the standings this week, jumping from sixth to third in the league. Dan Johnson's team vanquished Ortonville 20-14 earlier in the week.
