Rancho Christian has gone a perfect 3-0 against Canyon Springs recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Eagles will be playing in front of their home fans against the Cougars at 3:15 p.m. Rancho Christian is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.8 runs per game this season.
Rancho Christian's pitching crew heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They put the hurt on Perris with a sharp 11-0 victory. The Eagles haven't had any issues with the Panthers recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

Sean Downs was a major factor no matter where he played. He kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out seven over five innings pitched. Those seven strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with three runs.
In other batting news, Cylis Proffitt and Spencer Horner did most of the damage at the plate: Proffitt went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one double, while Horner went 2-for-3 with three RBI and two runs. Horner is becoming a predictor of Rancho Christian's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is 5-1 (and 5-6 when he doesn't). Aj Garza was another key player, getting on base in two of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases and two runs.
Rancho Christian always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .594. They are a perfect 7-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.
Canyon Springs couldn't beat Hillcrest on Tuesday even though they stacked four runs on them in the fourth inning. The Cougars lost 20-4 to the Trojans. The Cougars haven't had much luck with the Trojans recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.
Canyon Springs saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ryan Sierras, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one double.
Rancho Christian's victory bumped their record up to 10-7. As for Canyon Springs, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-12.
Canyon Springs' pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Rancho Christian hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .326. It's a different story for Canyon Springs, though, as they've only averaged .257. Will they be able to contain Rancho Christian's hitters?
