The McLane Highlanders's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Monday after their third straight loss. They took a serious blow against Roosevelt, falling 74-24. McLane has not had much luck with Roosevelt recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.
Roosevelt found their leader in underclassman Nyleigh Gregory, who scored 18 points along with six rebounds and four steals. Auburn Santos was another key contributor, scoring 16 points along with three steals.
McLane dropped their record down to 9-17 with that loss, which was their eighth straight on the road. As for Roosevelt, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 14 of their last 16 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 18-7 record this season.
McLane didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 39-19 loss vs. Hoover on the 7th. Roosevelt has also already played their next game, a 44-42 win against Fresno on the 7th.
