After flying high against the Sterling Tigers on Friday, the Alliance Bulldogs came back down to earth. Alliance took a 46-38 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Cardinals on Saturday. If Alliance was looking for revenge after losing 48-27 to them when the teams met, then they'll just have to keep looking.
Macey Seebohm and Jaelynne Clarke certainly did their best on Saturday to avoid the loss. Seebohm scored 16 points along with four steals, while Clarke almost dropped a double-double on 11 points and nine rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Seebohm has scored all season.
Taegan Bach had a dynamite game for Chadron, scoring 17 points along with two steals. Bach continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Taverra Sayaloune, who scored nine points.
Alliance has not been sharp recently as the team's lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-11 record this season. As for Chadron, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 12 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 11-8 record this season.
The pair will face off at 5:30 p.m. on January 30th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Hopefully Chadron focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 21 on Saturday. They will be staying on the road on Tuesday to face off against Alliance at 5:30 p.m. on January 30th. Hopefully Alliance focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 14 on Saturday.
