They strolled past West Catholic with points to spare, taking the game 54-38. Given Upper Dublin's advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 25th, while West Catholic is ranked 146th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
West Catholic's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jasmine Butler, who scored 11 points. Another player making a difference was Ciani Scott, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 11 rebounds.
Upper Dublin's victory bumped their record up to 14-1. As for West Catholic, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-7 record this season.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Upper Dublin will take on Quakertown at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Quakertown is hoping to put an end to a seven-game streak of away losses. As for West Catholic, they will be playing at home against Cardinal O'Hara at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
