The Susquehannock Warriors lost against the York Suburban Trojans back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Susquehannock was the victim of a rough 55-33 defeat at the hands of York Suburban. While losing is never fun, Susquehannock can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 373rd, while York Suburban is ranked 53rd).
Susquehannock lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Georgie Snyder, who scored 11 points along with four steals. Those four steals set a new season-high mark for her. Brooklyn Holloway was another key contributor, scoring seven points.
This is the second loss in a row for Susquehannock and nudges their season record down to 2-4. As for York Suburban, the win for they keeps them at an undefeated 5-0.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Susquehannock will be home for the holidays to greet Eastern York at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. York Suburban will finish 2023 at home by hosting Greencastle-Antrim at 7:30 p.m. on December 28th.
