Having just played yesterday, the St. Lucy's Regents will head out on the road to face off against the Packinghouse Christian Academy Bears at 3:30 p.m. on January 25th. St. Lucy's is hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses.
St. Lucy's suffered their biggest loss yet this season on Wednesday. They had to suffer through a rough 84-13 loss at the hands of Chino Hills. While losing is never fun, St. Lucy's can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 901st, while Chino Hills is ranked 189th).
Meanwhile, Packinghouse Christian Academy waltzed into their matchup on Thursday with four straight wins but they left with five. They breezed by The Grove School at home to the tune of 61-7. Packinghouse Christian Academy has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine games by 31 points or more this season.
It was another big night for Pearl Harry, who scored 31 points along with eight assists and six steals. Harry is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Savannah Ybarra was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with five steals.
St. Lucy's has been struggling recently, as they've lost eight of their last nine matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-13 record this season. As for Packinghouse Christian Academy, their win bumped their record up to 13-1.
