The Warrior Run Defenders will head out on the road to face off against the Mount Carmel RED TORNADOES at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. Warrior Run is coming into the matchup on a three-game losing streak.
Last Wednesday, Warrior Run had to suffer through a rough 52-18 loss at the hands of Loyalsock Township. While losing is never fun, Warrior Run can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 275th, while Loyalsock Township is ranked 44th).
Meanwhile, Mount Carmel came up short against Bloomsburg on Wednesday and fell 56-47. Mount Carmel has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Warrior Run now has a losing record at 7-8. As for Mount Carmel, they dropped their record down to 7-10 with that loss, which was their fourth straight on the road.
Warrior Run won a game that couldn't have been any closer in their previous meeting on January 9th, slipping by Mount Carmel 36-35. The rematch might be a little tougher for Warrior Run since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
