Softball Recap: North Polk Extends Winning Streak to Four

North Polk had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 9.3 runs) and they went ahead and made it four on Friday. Everything went their way against the Fort Dodge Dodgers as they made off with an 11-2 win. The result was nothing new for the Comets, who have now won eight matches by eight runs or more so far this season.

North Polk's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 16-4. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs on average over those games. As for Fort Dodge, their defeat dropped their record down to 13-6.

North Polk has already played their next game (against Williamsburg), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Fort Dodge, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 3-0 victory against Kennedy on the 21st.
