Bell hasn't had much luck against San Pedro recently, but that could start to change on Wednesday. The Eagles will venture away from home to face off against the Pirates at 3:00 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.
Bell lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Kennedy, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Saturday's game. The Eagles never let the Golden Cougars get on the board and left with an 11-0 win on Saturday. The Eagles' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.
Bell got a massive performance out of Gustavo Ramirez, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. That's the most runs Ramirez has posted since back in March of 2025. Another player making a difference was Jayden Rojas, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs.
Bell always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .586. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for San Pedro, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Monday. They put the hurt on Verdugo Hills with a sharp 15-8 victory on Saturday.
The team relied heavily on Brody Harper, who went 3-for-4 with three stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs. Those RBI marked the first that he has brought in this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Ethan Sierra, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with two runs, two RBI, and one double.
Bell pushed their record up to 8-1 with the win, which was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.7 runs on average this season. As for San Pedro, their record is now 4-2.
