After three games on the road, Sutter is heading back home. They will take on the Twelve Bridges Raging Rhinos at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Hopefully Sutter focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 25 on Friday.
Sutter posted their biggest win yet this season on Friday. They claimed a resounding 49-12 win over Lindhurst on the road. The win was just what Sutter needed coming off of a 75-36 defeat in their prior matchup.
Torrence Harter continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 17 points and 11 rebounds. Harter is absolutely dominating the rebound category: she's posted at least eight every time she's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Lainey Davis, who scored four points along with six rebounds and two steals.
Meanwhile, Twelve Bridges' recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They were dealt a 56-21 defeat at the hands of Colfax. While losing is never fun, Twelve Bridges can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 735th, while Colfax is ranked 40th).
Sutter's victory bumped their record up to 9-11. As for Twelve Bridges, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-12 record this season.
Sutter came out on top in a nail-biter against Twelve Bridges when the teams last played back in February of 2023, sneaking past 30-27. Will Sutter repeat their success, or does Twelve Bridges have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
