Hanford has won four straight games at home, while Lemoore has won four straight on the road, but those streaks won't matter much on Tuesday. After both having extra time off, the two teams will shake off the rust and duke it out at 6:30 p.m. The two teams are strolling into their matchups after big wins in their previous games.
Hanford barely beat Mission Oak the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Bullpups were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Hawks on Wednesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win the Bullpups have posted against the Hawks since October 18, 2022.
The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 25-16, 25-21.
Hanford's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Claire Welch, who had eight kills, five digs, two aces, and one block. The team also got some help courtesy of Daniela Rodriguez, who had three digs and three aces.
They weren't the only good servers: Hanford was lethal from the service line and finished the match with ten aces. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their ace total in three consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, Lemoore made easy work of Tulare Western on Wednesday and carried off a 3-0 win.
The final score came out to 25-14, 25-16, 25-12.
Lemoore's victory bumped their record up to 23-4. As for Hanford, their win bumped their record up to 13-10.
Hanford might still be hurting after the 3-0 defeat they got from Lemoore when the teams last played back in October of 2024. Can the Bullpups avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
