In what's become a running theme this season, the Cloverdale Eagles gave their fans yet another huge victory on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Lower Lake 56-29 on the road. The win was familiar territory for Cloverdale who now have six in a row.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Cloverdale to victory, but perhaps none more so than Tylie Hatcher, who scored 15 points along with nine rebounds and two steals. Hatcher is on a roll when it comes to points, as she's now scored 15 or more in the last 11 games she's played. Another player making a difference was Shasta Vlasak, who scored six points along with ten assists and six rebounds.
Several Trojans players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Tiahna Tubbs, who scored 12 points along with nine rebounds and three steals. That was a full 41.4% of Lower Lake's points, marking the fifth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. Brooke Benson was another key contributor, scoring five points along with seven rebounds.
Cloverdale has been performing well recently as they've won 11 of their last 13 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 16-4 record this season. As for Lower Lake, they now have a losing record at 10-11.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Cloverdale will face off against Kelseyville at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Kelseyville will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps California Rankings (they are ranked 509th, while Cloverdale is ranked 235th). As for Lower Lake, they will head out on the road to challenge Middletown at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Middletown will be looking to extend their current six-game winning streak.
