Jackson County has gone 6-1 against Lanier recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Monday. The Panthers will be playing in front of their home fans against the Longhorns at 5:00 p.m. The two teams each escaped (but just barely!) with wins against their previous opponents.
Jackson County is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Monday. They skirted past Glynn Academy 5-4. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Panthers have posted since August 28th.

Jackson County got a great performance from Adalyn Mitchell as she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit over 4.1 innings pitched. Mitchell has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in ten consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Miabella Lee, who went 2-for-5 with three RBI and one stolen base.
Jackson County kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least nine hits in six consecutive games.
Meanwhile, Lanier entered their tilt with Decatur on Monday with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 7-6 W against the Bulldogs.
Lindsay Sisk looked comfortable as she pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits.
At the plate, Sophia Roche was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. That's the most hits she has posted since back in September. Isabella Burkhead was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two runs, two doubles, and two RBI.
Jackson County's victory bumped their record up to 17-5. As for Lanier, the win got them back to even at 13-13.
Everything went Jackson County's way against Lanier in their previous meeting back in October of 2023, as Jackson County made off with an 8-0 victory. Will the Panthers repeat their success, or do the Longhorns have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
