The Las Plumas Thunderbirds will be playing at home against the Corning Cardinals at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Las Plumas will be strutting in after a win while the Cardinals will be coming in after a defeat.
Last Friday, Las Plumas was able to grind out a solid win over the Trojans, taking the game 42-29.
Meanwhile, Corning's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their 14th straight loss. They took a 46-35 hit to the loss column at the hands of Oroville. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Corning in their matchups with the Tigers: they've now lost six in a row.
The win got Las Plumas back to even at 12-12. As for Corning, their defeat was their 17th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-21.
Las Plumas was able to grind out a solid win over the Cardinals in their previous meeting back in January, winning 36-28. Does Las Plumas have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Cardinals turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
