Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Lanier Christian Academy). They blew past the Skipstone Academy Warriors 50-0 on Friday. The Lightning haven't had any issues with the Warriors recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Lanier Christian Academy's victory bumped their record up to 5-1. As for Skipstone Academy, their defeat was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-6.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Lanier Christian Academy will take on Mt. Bethel Christian Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (the Lightning 7.7, the Eagles 9.8) so any points scored will be well earned. As for Skipstone Academy, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Cross Keys at 6:00 p.m. on the 23rd.
