The Pilibos Eagles lost against the Oakwood Owls on January 16th, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Pilibos was dealt a 51-21 loss at the hands of the Owls. While losing is never fun, Pilibos can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 656th, while the Owls are ranked 174th).
Sevana Keuroghlian was Pilibos' leading scorer, having posted ten points.
Kareen Tavidian held things down on the boards with seven rebounds. She took the lead distributing the ball, coming up with two assists.
Pilibos' loss dropped their record down to 9-15. As for Oakwood, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 12 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 19-5 record this season.
Pilibos won't have much time to rest: their next game is against the Armens at 3:30 p.m. on January 31st. Holy Martyrs Armenian is coming into the contest hot, having won their last four games. Oakwood does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
