It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but Trinity Christian ultimately got the result they hoped for on Friday. They walked away with a 58-51 win over Community Christian. The win was just what Trinity Christian needed coming off of a 68-41 defeat in their prior matchup.
Pantego Christian suffered their biggest loss yet this season last Tuesday. They were outmatched by Grace Prep at home and fell 73-37. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat Pantego Christian has suffered against Grace Prep since February 7, 2020.
Pantego Christian's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Tristan Brown, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 11 rebounds, and Aj Brooks who scored nine points along with nine rebounds and two steals. Brooks also posted two blocks for the first time this season. Jamerson Green was another key contributor, scoring five points along with five rebounds and two steals.
Pantego Christian struggled to work together and finished the game with only two assists. That's the fewest assists they've managed all season.
Trinity Christian's victory ended a six-game drought at home and bumped them up to 5-13. As for Pantego Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 13-12.
