This season hasn't been kind to the West Valley Mustangs, who are still winless after their sixth game. They took a serious blow against San Jacinto on Tuesday, falling 70-14. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points West Valley has scored all season.
San Jacinto's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Luv'lee Sadler, who scored 27 points along with five assists and five rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Sadler has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Miyah Stevenson, who scored 14 points along with seven assists and five steals.
West Valley bumped their record down to 0-6 with that loss, which was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season. As for San Jacinto, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 12-8.
West Valley will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Perris at 5:30 p.m. As for San Jacinto, they will head out on the road to face off against Liberty at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Liberty will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps California Rankings (they are ranked 782nd, while San Jacinto is ranked 299th).
