Bartram Trail won the last time they faced St. Augustine and things went their way on Thursday too. The Bartram Trail Bears put the hurt on the St. Augustine Yellow Jackets with a sharp 16-1 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Bears.

Ella Crouse looked comfortable as she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over four innings pitched.

At the plate, Bartram Trail let Hailey Allen and Andi Gooch run wild. Allen scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances, while Gooch went 1-for-3 with four RBI, two runs, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Maddie Coston, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one triple, two RBI, and one run.

Bartram Trail always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .621. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as St. Augustine only posted an OBP of .214.

Bartram Trail's record now sits at 2-0. As for St. Augustine, they dropped their record down to 0-2 with the loss, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Looking ahead, Bartram Trail will take on Tocoi Creek at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for St. Augustine, they will be playing in front of their home fans against St. Joseph Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
