St. Bernard has enjoyed a three-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will face off against the Sonoma Academy Coyotes at 3:00 p.m. on Monday. Sonoma Academy took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on St. Bernard's, who comes in off a win.
On Saturday, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, St. Bernard's beat McKinleyville 53-47.
Meanwhile, Sonoma Academy ended up a good deal behind Marin Academy on Saturday and lost 50-36. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as Sonoma Academy came into the game with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 350th, while Marin Academy is ranked 790th).
St. Bernard's pushed their record up to 13-3 with that victory, which was their third straight at home. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 68.0 points per game. As for Sonoma Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-4.
