After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Castro Valley, the St. Joseph Notre Dame Pilots were happy to have found some success on Wednesday. They breezed by Holy Names at home to the tune of 55-19. That 55-19 margin sets a new team best for St. Joseph Notre Dame this season.
St. Joseph Notre Dame's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Isabella Corral, who scored 13 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Malia Musson, who scored 12 points.
St. Joseph Notre Dame has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record this season. As for Holy Names, they bumped their record down to 1-3 with that defeat, which was their third straight on the road.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. St. Joseph Notre Dame will be home for the holidays to greet Kennedy at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Holy Names and Fremont Christian will face off at 6:15 p.m. on December 14th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Fremont Christian has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
