The Central Dauphin Rams had already won six in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 18.8 points), and they went ahead and made it seven on Friday. They walked away with a 38-25 win over Chambersburg. Given Central Dauphin's advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 43rd, while Chambersburg is ranked 398th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Alexis Ferguson was her usual excellent self, scoring 21 points along with three steals and two blocks. She hasn't dropped below two blocks for seven straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Lauren Cavoli, who scored seven points along with four steals.
Central Dauphin pushed their record up to 12-1 with that win, which was their eighth straight on the road. As for Chambersburg, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-8.
Central Dauphin will be playing at home against State College at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Chambersburg, they will head out on the road to square off against Harrisburg at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
