The San Bernardino Cardinals's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fourth straight loss. They fell 46-34 to South Hills.
Despite the loss, San Bernardino saw an underclassman step up: Laniah Porter dropped a double-double on 16 points and 15 rebounds. Porter scored a full 47.1% of San Bernardino's points, the second time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Rihanna Scott, who dropped a double-double on 18 rebounds and 10 assists.
San Bernardino's defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for South Hills, they now have a winning record of 4-3.
San Bernardino's road trip will continue as they head out to face Hoover at 1:00 p.m. on December 2nd. As for South Hills, they will face off against Alhambra at 4:15 p.m. on Saturday. Alhambra has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
