Marana was beaten by Tucson High Magnet School 70-37 on Tuesday. Marana has not had much luck with Tucson High Magnet School recently, as the team's come up short the last six times they've met.
Tucson High Magnet School found their leader in underclassman Patrick Flores, who scored 18 points along with three steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Flores has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Xavier Grajeda Cruz, who scored 12 points along with six rebounds and two steals.
Marana has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-13 record this season. As for Tucson High Magnet School, the victory was the 14th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 18-1.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Marana will take on Sunnyside at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Tucson High Magnet School, they will be playing at home against Rincon/University at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in Rincon/University's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last three matches.
