The Hancock Owls lost against the Otter Tail Central co-op [Battle Lake/Henning] Bulldogs last Wednesday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. Hancock was dealt a 52-24 defeat at the hands of Otter Tail Central co-op [Battle Lake/Henning].
Hancock's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performance. Perhaps the best among them was Chase Evink, who rushed for 129 yards and a touchdown, and also threw for 58 yards and a touchdown while completing 100% of his passes. Titus Bjerketvedt was in the mix too, providing Hancock with two touchdowns.
Hancock's defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their overall record down to 6-6. Admittedly, the team was facing some tough opposition over that stretch, including 7-3 Underwood (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 78.6% over those games). As for Otter Tail Central co-op [Battle Lake/Henning], the win for they keeps them at an undefeated 10-0.
Hancock does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Otter Tail Central co-op [Battle Lake/Henning] will head out on the road to face off against Wheaton at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday.
