Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Dexter walked away with it. They claimed a resounding 57-6 win over the Ruidoso Warriors. The Demons' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Cj Granados was his usual excellent self, throwing for 155 yards and four touchdowns on only six passes, while also rushing for 45 yards and a pair of TDs. Those four passing touchdowns gave him a new career-high. Garet Gonzalez helped out on the ground, rushing for 111 yards.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Dexter was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 304 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 171 rushing yards in 12 consecutive games dating back to last season.

Dexter's victory bumped their record up to 9-1. As for Ruidoso, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-7 record this season.

Dexter will be playing at home against Hope Christian at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. The two teams might be coming in a bit winded given these two teams combined for 979 yards in their previous games. Ruidoso does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
