He was also big at the plate, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 3-for-3. Those three hits gave him a new career-high.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Ernesto Hernandez, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, four runs, and four RBI. Chaffey is 2-1 when Hernandez posts two or more runs, but 2-5 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Harlan Gomez, who scored two runs while going 2-for-5.
Don Lugo's defeat was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 3-6. As for Chaffey, their victory bumped their record up to 4-6.
