Hozho Academy proved they can win big  last Saturday (they won by 55) and  on Thursday they proved they can win the close ones too. In a tight  contest that could have gone either way, they made off with  a  9-8 win over the Navajo Prep Eagles. The  victory was nothing new for the Wolves as they're now sitting on five straight.
 Brandon Bonaguidi had an outrageously good game as he rushed for 157 yards and one  touchdown on only 11 carries. Those  157  rushing yards gave  him a new career-high.
 Wins are hard to come by when you can't run the rock, something Hozho Academy proved: they limited Navajo Prep to a paltry 1.1 yards per carry. While three picked up at least three  total tackles,  Bonaguidi stood above the rest. He rushed for 157 yards and one  TD on only 11 carries. Hozho Academy didn't have any issues in that department, having averaged 10.3.
 Hozho Academy didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. In fact, those interceptions all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut  Abraham Azua.
Hozho Academy's record now sits at 6-2. As for Navajo Prep,  the  loss snapped their winning streak at three games  and leaves them with a 6-2 record.
 Hozho Academy has already played their next game,  a  50-0  win against Laguna Acoma on the 24th. As for Navajo Prep, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next  matchup,  a  34-28  victory against McCurdy on the 24th.
