Lucerne Valley's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jasmine Pepper, who dropped a double-double on ten points and ten rebounds. Pepper hasn't dropped below two steals for four straight games. Another player making a difference was Amaya Kelly, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 18 rebounds.
Apple Valley Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Lucerne Valley, they are on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 13 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 13-6 record this season.
This contest is one where the number of possessions is likely to be a big factor: Apple Valley Christian have been smashing the glass this season, having only averaged 15.2 rebounds per game. However, it's not like Lucerne Valley struggles in that department as they've been averaging only 33.3 rebounds per game. Given these competing strengths, it'll be interesting to see how their clash plays out.
