Foothill suffered their biggest defeat since December 4, 2023 on Tuesday. They were the victim of a tough 55-32 loss at the hands of El Dorado. While losing is never fun, Foothill can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 671st, while El Dorado is ranked 78th).
Foothill's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Paige Bak, who scored four points along with 12 rebounds, and Maleah Paige who scored 13 points along with two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Paige has scored all season.
Even though they lost, Foothill smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 15 offensive rebounds. This was only their 12th loss (out of 17 games) when they hit their own glass that hard.
Brea Olinda has not been sharp recently, as they've lost five of their last six matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-16 record this season. As for Foothill, they bumped their record down to 5-16 with that loss, which was their fourth straight at home.
Everything went Brea Olinda's way against Foothill in their previous meeting last Tuesday as Brea Olinda made off with a 60-40 win. One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in that game was Foothill's Jay Perez, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 11 rebounds.
