The Wyoming Area Warriors's game on Friday was a tough loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Saturday. They snuck past Pocono Mountain East with a 37-31 win.
Wyoming Area got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Kendall Day out in front who scored 7 points along with 7 rebounds and 3 steals. Morgan Slusser was another key contributor, scoring 5 points along with 6 rebounds and 4 steals.
The victory got Wyoming Area back to even at 1-1. As for Pocono Mountain East, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-2.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Wyoming Area is on the road again on Tuesday and play against Riverside at 7:15 p.m. on December 5th. Pocono Mountain East will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Whitehall at 7:00 p.m. on January 4, 2024.
