Softball Recap: Timnath Wins Going Away Against Mountain View

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Wellington, Timnath was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They blew past the Mountain View Mountain Lions 13-1. Considering the Cubs' hitters had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.

Lily Miller made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching four innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. Miller was also big at the plate, going 1-for-2 with two RBI and one double.

In other batting news, Zadia Diaz was a standout: she went 3-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. That's the most hits she has posted since back in September. Another player making a difference was Hailey Kejr, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs and one double.

Timnath kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 15 hits. They are a perfect 4-0 when they post 11 or more hits.

Timnath's victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 7-14-1. As for Mountain View, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-18-1.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Timnath is set to challenge their familiar foe Greeley Central at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Mountain View will square off against rival Thompson Valley at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
