Alisha Mcmurtry made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out 17 over seven innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts she has posted since back in August. She was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances.
Mcmurtry wasn't the only one making solid contact as six players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Cota Barmore, who went 2-for-3 with one run. Ariana Wells was another, going 2-for-3 with one run and one RBI.
Bellevue East hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Omaha Central struck out 18 times.
