Gateway Christian has struggled against Atlantic Shores Christian recently, as their contest on Friday was their eighth consecutive lost matchup.
Despite the defeat, Gateway Christian saw an underclassman step up: Evalyn Snider scored eight points. That was a full 42.1% of Gateway Christian's points, marking the third time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Gateway Christian bumped their record down to 2-8 with that defeat, which was their fourth straight at home. As for Atlantic Shores Christian, their win bumped their record up to 4-2.
