Baseball Recap: Stagg Snags Ninth Win in Last 12 Games

Stagg had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 11-run drubbing they dealt Edison on Friday. The Delta Kings put the hurt on the Vikings with a sharp 13-2 win. The result was nothing new for the Delta Kings, who have now won eight contests by six runs or more so far this season.

Patrick Inthasak and Michael Hutchinson did most of the damage at the plate: Inthasak went 3-for-4 with three runs, one triple, and one stolen base, while Hutchinson went 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI. That's the most runs Inthasak has posted since back in February. The team also got some help courtesy of Jackson Brooks, who went 2-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Stagg kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. They are a perfect 7-0 when they post 11 or more hits.

Stagg is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 12 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-5 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.9 runs over those games. As for Edison, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-9-1.

Stagg has already played their next game, a 12-1 loss against Weston Ranch on the 9th. As for Edison, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, an 8-0 defeat against River City on the 12th.
