The Taft Senators will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against the Woodward Bulldogs at 7:30 p.m. Taft has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 571 points over their last eight games.
Taft pushed their score all the way to 73 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell to Aiken 79-73. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their last game last Wednesday (69), Taft still had to take the loss.
Meanwhile, Woodward was just a bucket shy of victory on Friday and fell 54-53 to Withrow. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Woodward has scored all season.
Taft's loss dropped their record down to 7-7. As for Woodward, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-5 record this season.
Taft won a contest that couldn't have been any closer in their previous meeting back in December of 2023, slipping by Woodward 66-65. Does Taft have another victory up their sleeve, or will Woodward turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
