This season hasn't been kind to the Douglas Byrd Eagles, who are still winless after their 15th match. They took a serious blow against Seventy-First on Tuesday, falling  78-29. Douglas Byrd was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at  36-13.
 When it comes to explaining why Douglas Byrd lost, one person who can't be blamed is  Renmari Willis. Despite the final result, he  scored 13 points along with five  rebounds.
 It was another big night for  DeAndre Nance, who  scored 17 points along with eight  rebounds and three  steals for Seventy-First. As a matter of fact, that's the most points  Nance has scored all season.  Daekwon Dunn was another key contributor,  scoring 14 points.
 Douglas Byrd dropped their record down to 0-15 with that  loss, which was their 18th straight  at home dating back to last season. As for Seventy-First, the  win (which was their tenth in a row) raised their record to 11-1.
 Both  squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Douglas Byrd won't have much time to rest: their next  match is against Cape Fear at 7:30  p.m.  on January 24th. Cape Fear is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 50.5  points per game. As for Seventy-First, they won't have much time to rest: their next  matchup is against Westover at 7:30  p.m.  on January 24th. One thing working in Westover's favor is that they have posted big  point totals  every time they've taken the court this season.
