Northwestern can bid farewell to their five-game losing streak thanks to their game on Monday. They came out on top against the Parkdale Panthers by a score of 7-3. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Wildcats also won the last time the pair played back in April of 2024.

Engelbert Tovar was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he pitched five innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off five hits. Tovar was also big at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 1-for-3. He also put up a double, which was his first of the season.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Carter Williams, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 1-for-3. He also hit a triple, marking his first of the season. Alberto Weaver was another key player, scoring a run and stealing three bases.
